ANITA Electronic Desk Calculators using both Transistor Logic & Integrated Circuits
The ANITA 1000 I.C. series Electronic Desk Calculators use a mixture of integrated circuits and transistor logic. They all use the now familiar 10-key machines rather than the previous full-keyboard machines .
The Times newspaper in February 1969 announced the launch of the first of the series:
"Sumlock launch
   Sumlock Comptometer, who
introduced the first desk-top electronic calculator in the world, has now launched another all-British model, the Anita 1000.  This simplified machine, which has only five control keys, has been designed to cope with all
business calculations.  Costing £285, the manufacturer claims that it is the most competitively priced calculator of its type available.  Above all, it is a machine which can be operated by any member of the staff after
                only a little practice."[1]
